Hi I'm Taylor

I'm a missionary, I love sports espcially basketball, the Jazz shouldnt have traded Deron Williams, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

Growing up I've always loved sports. I've played a lot of baseball and basketball and i love to watch all sports. I played basketball in high school and i hope to continue to play it for the rest of my life. I love 4 wheeling as well and being around friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. However, I had to come to know the truth of the Church for myself. I continue to be a Mormon because that is where the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ is at. As i study different religions, they dont have the same foundation as the Church of Jesus Christ, because they arent the restored church of Jesus Christ. The Priesthood authority to perform baptisms and recieve the gift of the Holy Ghost was restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith. By following the Commandments that God has given us, we can have the Holy Ghost with us always as a constent companion. I also know that God Loves us all so that he would call a Prophet to lead us in this day. I know that Joseph Smith was called as a Prophet of God to restore Christs true church, and that Thomas S Monson is the Prophet today.

How I live my faith

Right now i am currently serving as a missionary . As a missionary my companion and I teach people about the church and invite all to Come unto Christ. People may see missionaries knock on doors, walk around on the streets, and even volunteering time at hospitals, food shelters, and other places. Missionaries are normal people just like everyone else, but for 2 years of my life, i have decided to leave home, and help someone come to know the truth of the message about the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why did your church previously practice plural marriage (polygamy)?

Taylor
God commanded that Joseph Smith should practice polygamy . Many women were widows because their husbands died because of persecution to the church. Joseph Smth did not want to practice polygamy, but he did what God commanded. Many people dont understand it, and thats normal. Sometimes we dont understand everything. But in the Bible, God commanded Abraham to sacrifice his son Issac. In the Bible it says "thou shalt not kill" and Abraham knew that he shouldnt kill, and he especiall did not want to sacrifice his son, but he trusted in God and he wanted to obey God. We don't always understand everything, but if we trust in God then we will be blessed.   Show more Show less
