Hi I'm Thomas

I'm a Utah Jazz fan, I love Disneyland, I always appreciate a good laugh, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Thomas Buttars. I was born and raised in Logan, Utah and I am currently a student at Utah State University studying Management Information Systems. Go Aggies! I grew up with two great parents and two big sisters making me the baby and the only boy of the family. I had an abnormal interest in dinosaurs, knowing them by their formal names before I even knew my colors. I grew out of that stage, gauged some normal interests and became obsessed with John Stockton, Karl Malone, and the Utah Jazz. My interest with the Utah Jazz spread to all basketball and then to all other sports. In high school I ended up participating in cross country, basketball, swimming, tennis, and track and field for at least some time. After high school I went to a year of college and then decided to do a two year LDS church service mission. I went to Phoenix, Arizona for those two years and had an absolute blast!

Why I am a Mormon

Because it's the best way of life that I know. The standards of the church are the pathway to happiness and everything we are told to do is for our benefit. I have been able to build a relationship with my Heavenly Father through prayer and I believe that everyone else can do the same. I have been able to find out for myself that Joseph Smith is a prophet and restored the true gospel of Jesus Christ back to the earth, that Jesus is the Christ, and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true!

How I live my faith

I try to be the best I can be. I believe everyone should be treated well and with kindness and love. Everyone deserves respect. I live what I believe. I read from the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I served a two year LDS church service mission to help other people find peace and happiness in their own lives. I go to church every week and serve in a calling for the church.
