Hi I'm Cariss

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I work for a Real Estate Developer. I love to cook and read. I like to be with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a testimony that God, the Father, lives, and He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to atone for our sins and to show us how to return to Their presence. I testify that through the teachings of Jesus we can do this. It starts with being baptized as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. As a member of His church I testify that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, sent here to restore the gospel to it's fullness. I also testify that we have a living prophet, President Monson, on the earth today that follows God's instructions. Through the Priesthood, families can be together forever. By having the companionship of the Holy Ghost, I am able to feel peace in a world full of noise and turmoil. It is easier to make decisions that bring me happiness and closer to God.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to church each week to learn more about my Savior and to take the Sacrament. I also teach a class of 7 year olds about the church and it's teachings each Sunday. I visit a few members of my ward each month to get to know them and see how they are doing and to teach a short message about Jesus Christ and His church. I am able to assist them if they have any needs or refer them to someone in the ward that can assist as well. I grow closer to my Heavenly Father when I serve others and I form friendships that are long lasting and sustaining. I make sure my family gets together often to have lessons to learn more about the gospel and to strengthen us.
