Hi I'm Lori.

I grew up in Island Park, Idaho riding snowmobiles. I'm the oldest of eight kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom. I love it!! I have to share custody of some of my kids and I miss them so much when they aren't with me. I enjoy reading and watching movies, cooking for my family, and learning new things, like snowboarding, how to finish your basement and crochet. (I am trying to make a scarf, it's harder than it would seem.)

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church. Seemingly small experiences over the years formed my testimony. I have struggled at times with trials that seemed insurmountable to me. In the space of ten years, my best friend was killed in a car accident, my house burned down and my returned missionary/married in the temple husband left me to raise three young children. Through my challenges my beliefs continued to be strengthened as I have tried to live right even in adversity. I have felt so close to a loving Father in heaven who continues to support me. I love this church and the opportunity I have, if I live worthy, to be with my wonderful family for all eternity!!

How I live my faith

My current job in our ward is building scheduler. I am able to go some ward meetings in order to fulfill this calling and I enjoy witnessing the concern the leaders have for the people, young and old, in our little valley. I also get to go visit women in the area and teach a short lesson each month, these women are becoming my very good friends. Mostly I spend my time teaching my own family of eight. I try hard to help my kids feel the spirit and make good choices for themselves. It's very challenging when we have divorce situations and shared custody!! I want to do better at bringing the scripture stories into our lives so my kids see how the scriptures can help them live right.
