Hi I'm Shawn

I am an actor, singer, and dancer. I am serving full time in the Louisiana, Baton Rouge mission, and I am a Mormon!!!!

About Me

I grew up in Grantsville, i then moved to Norwalk with my Mom. My dream is to be on Broadway and I know with the Lords help I can be. I have performed all my life; I was in Marching Band, Show Choir, Ballroom, and Theatre in High School. I went to college for Theatre before heading on a mission in Louisiana. I also love making a fool out of myself.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this gospel has helped me way too much for me to say it is not true. I love being a Mormon. The Atonement of Christ is the most amazing thing that anyone could ever do for us. I love it so much! I love the fact that I can live with my family forever and that I can see my Heavenly Father again!

How I live my faith

I live my faith my showing people that you don’t need to drink or go and do crazy things to have a good time. Any of my friends will tell you that i am super crazy and that I have the best time at parties and I don’t need all that other stuff to put into my body! I also share the gospel with my friends and people I see every day! I love my Faith and I love my God! I am also serving a full time in the Louisiana Baton Rouge mission. I love the chance I get to tell others about the "Good news" that we can live with our Father in heaven again. This fact has changed my life and I know it will change yours!

What is being a Mormon like?

Being a Mormon is like being yourself but you will find more happiness through the gospel of Jesus Christ so you will a better yourself you won’t want to do the things you know are wrong. People will know that you are following Christ and they will respect you for that even if they tease you about it at first. You don’t have to change your personality but you will change the way you look at life and find more respect and love for Christ and what He did for you and for me. Show more Show less

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

As Missionaries our purpose is to invite others to come unto Christ. Our unique message to the world is that God has called a Prophet to the earth once again and has restored the Gospel to the earth through the Prophet this Prophets name was Joseph Smith. When the Missionaries come to your home they will talk to you about the organization of the Church of Jesus Christ and how the Gospel was restored to the earth with the Authority to do all the things Christ requires us to do to make it back to him such as baptism. Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

"The Book of Mormon is a Volume of Holy Scripture comparable to the Bible." it was written by Prophets of God and contains the fullness of the everlasting Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon starts about 600 BC with a Prophet named Lehi and His family and goes till about 400 AD with a Prophet named Moroni. Moroni's father Mormon compiled the writings of the Prophets from Lehi on. Mormon then gave them to his son Moroni. Moroni buried the writings in a hill knowing that at some future point in time the Lord would bring them forth to the world. This happened when the Prophet Joseph Smith was led to the writings by Moroni (then a glorified resurrected being) and was able to translate them into English by the gift and power of God. You can know the Book of Mormon is true by reading the book then praying to God and asking if it (The Book of Mormon) is true. Show more Show less

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

The Gospel was taught from the beginning, but man sometimes would not listen to the gospel (the prophets that taught the gospel) and God would take these men and the authority to perform the ordinances of the Gospel from the earth. We have not always had the Bible; the Bible was written by the hands of the Prophets and compiled to what we have today. Unfortunately the Apostles and the Prophets were killed after Christ was and once again God took the Authority with them. Thus leaving men in a state of darkness called Apostasy, it was not Gods fault men choose to reject the Apostles and the teachings of the Gospel. But just like God has always done he called another prophet to the earth and gave him the authority to perform the ordinances of the gospel. We learn of the things we need to do in the Bible but the Bible does not give one authority to act in God’s name. Show more Show less
