Hi I'm Trevor

I'm an artist, a video game player, a child of God, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I really enjoy playing video games, drawing, and music. I've played video games from a young age and it's really a way for me to relax and enjoy myself. I've played quite a variety of them, but my favorite company is Nintendo. These games have always been fun to me and I love the family oriented games that are put out by them. Mario, Zelda, StarFox, and Metroid are main staples from Nintendo that I enjoy playing. I've been drawing since I was very young as well. It's a talent that I hope to cultivate into something more. I've not had a true opportunity to take an art class as of yet, but it's something that I hope to pursue in the future. Animation has always interested me, and I've always enjoyed, and still do enjoy, watching cartoons. The different styles of animation, drawing, and humor are something I look at in each show that I watch. Starting middle school, I began to watch some anime Japanese Animation which eventually led to my Mom purchasing Miyazaki's films such as Spirited Away and Castle in the Sky. These stories were very good and I enjoyed the level of detail that went into the characters and the drawings. I play the piano, but I memorize all of my songs. I love learning game music. I was in Band Class from Middle School throughout highschool. I played in the Percussion section. The Vibraphone and such wasn't so bad, but I really enjoyed playing the snare drum and to this day, the music for playing on drums is the only kind that I can sight-read.

Why I am a Mormon

Well, starting out, I was a Mormon because both of my parents were. I was raised in the Church, but I have family that are not members. My mom is a convert to the Church. However, even though I was raised within the Church and grew up going to its activities, I had to find out for myself whether or not the Church was true. I didn't always think like this. The Church leaders constantly told us to pray so that we could find out for ourselves. I thought that if I did so, I would be questioning my faith and it wouldn't be as strong. I now see that that is not the case at all. One day I felt that I needed to pray and ask. I was reading the Book of Mormon, then I stopped and knelt down at my bedside to offer up a prayer unto God. Before I began to utter any words, the most overpowering feeling of peace and comfort came over me. I could not continue in my prayer and I had to sit there with this wonderful feeling upon my heart. I knew then that it was a manifestation from the Spirit of God, the Holy Ghost, that the Church was true. Because of that, I know in my heart that this is Christ's Church set up upon the Earth today. There is no doubt in my mind or in my heart that this is His true Church brought forth in these latter days so that we, the children of God, everyone on the Earth, can be partakers of His Gospel, His doctrine, His grace and mercy, and so that we can draw closer to our Heavenly Father, so that we may be happy.

How I live my faith

I love to help out others in my community. My Dad, having a good knowledge about construction about him, would often take me along with him in order to help out people with their house problems and help them to get everything settled. I myself am not so knowledgable in that particular area, but I enjoyed going with him to help others. One way I have found to help others is to be a friend to them. I always try to be as nice as I can be, and I love bringing a smile to others' faces. I found a perfect way to do that when I was in High School. I created a comic strip and managed to get it published in the newspaper. I've always been grateful to the newspaper for giving me that opportunity, and this provided me with a way to help bring out a smile in other people. I also enjoy working with children. Growing up, I've always loved cartoons, and I've never really stopped loving them. Children are very smart and wonderful, and I enjoy it whenever I get to work with them whether it is just talking to them, helping them with something, or playing with them. My Dad recently started teaching the Scouts at the Church. He is over the Webelos. He's allowed me to come along with him to his classes so that I could help him in teaching the kids.
