Hi I'm Alex

I love sports, food, my family and the gospel of Jesus Christ, not necessarily in that order. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 20 yr. old from Arizona. I am currently serving a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, but as for my pre-mission life I would consider myself, a pretty normal kid. I absolutely love sports. In high school I played volleyball, football, soccer, and basketball. With my free time I also liked to play pretty much any sport such as dodgeball, ultimate frisbee, racquetball, etc. Another love of mine is my family. I have 6 brothers and sisters, two wonderful parents, a plethora of cousins, and 10 nieces and nephews. They are all my best friends. I love spending time with them doing some of the other things that I love to do including but not limited to eating, playing sports, and singing. The gospel is a VERY important part of my life. It is my life. It affects and enhances everything I do.

Why I am a Mormon

Both sides of my family are members of this church and have been for generations. So I guess you could say that's how I got introduced to the church. But there came a time in my life, as I would assume comes in the life of everyone, when I had to decide for myself if the things that I had been raised in were true or if it was mere coincidence that I had been born in this church and consequently "believed" in it. I had seen blessings that came to the life of me and my family throughout my life from living the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ until then, but I had the desire to really find out if it was ALL true. One year during High School, as a New Years resolution, I commited myself to read from the Scriptures, and especially the Book of Mormon, every day. I only missed one day that year, but more importantly I received a testimony from the Holy Ghost that the Book of Mormon really was the word of God which meant that this church I had been raised in really was the only true church of Jesus Christ. And that is why I am a "Mormon".

How I live my faith

Well at this moment of my life I am serving a full time mission for the church. Everything I do for two years is focusing on helping others to come unto Christ through receiving this restored Gospel in their lives.
