Hi I'm Alberto

I was born in Lima, Peru. I enjoy playing soccer very much, but most importantly I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Software Engineer who loves to play soccer. I'm also a dad of two wonderful children. Them, along with wife, are my biggest assets. I was born in Lima, Peru and have been living in this country for over 14 years.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been taught Religion since my childhood. As I grew old, I discovered I never had a true conversion to the Gospel. As I read the Book of Mormon, in combination with the Bible, I was able to understand principles of the Gospel which were unknown to me. The more I learned about my Savior JesusChrist, the more I felt closer to him. This is how I came to know that the teachings I was given were true. I love the Gospel with all my heart. It continues to change my heart. I have also seen changing the hearts of many people who look humbly look for him. I believe the most important thing I have learned (and continue to learn) is about the role of my Savior as redeemer of this world. I'm grateful for his sacrifice and what it means to my personal life. I'm grateful for having this special knowledge that He lives and that He communicates with us today.

How I live my faith

My family and I attend every Sunday meetings as well as one additional day (during the week) to provide service (callings) to the youth of our Branch. As our Branch is a Hispanic Unit (we live in the U.S.), our opportunity to serve increases. We also established a local Hispanic Scout Charter (cubs, scouts, varsity and venturing). I love what scouting principles teaches to the youth, independent of their religion of choice.
