Hi I'm Samantha.

I'm a full-time missionary, a nursing student, and a writer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Georgia, and can't imagine ever calling any other place my home. I love everything about the South. Currently, I'm serving as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in South America, and there is nothing else I'd rather be doing. Before my mission, I was studying to become a nurse, and I will return to school upon completion of my mission. My other hobbies include listening to music, watching sports, writing, running, or hanging out with friends. I absolutely love trying new things and meeting new people, and I would love to travel the world someday.

Why I am a Mormon

Ever since I was a young girl, my faith has been the anchor of my life and the life of my family. As I grew older, I came to know for myself that Jesus Christ is my Savior through personal prayer and scripture study, as well as utilization of His precious Atonement in my life. I know that I am a daughter of God, and my relationship with Him and His son Jesus Christ are the most precious thing in the world to me. I've read the Book of Mormon several times, and I have received a witness that it is true. I know that Joseph Smith was called of God, and I have received personal witness that he was a true prophet of God. I know that my Savior lives and guides this church. I know that the only way to find true happiness is by emulating the life of Jesus Christ and following His teachings, so that is what I'm striving to do every day. This gospel is the cornerstone of my life, and I love it with all my heart.

How I live my faith

My current calling is to be a missionary, and I spend each day striving to bring others unto the knowledge of their Savior and the Restoration of His true gospel on the Earth. I dedicate my days to vigorous study and dedication to the gospel and the service of God's children. I believe that service is the best way to feel God's love, both for us and for those we serve. I work each day to come closer to God and to have His spirit with me always. The gospel is the center of my life, and my Savior is my rock.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

We believe that God is truly our Father in Heaven, and therefore He loves us a parent loves their child, but to a magnitude beyond our comprehension. It's because of this love that He sent His son, Jesus Christ, to atone for our sins so that we could be forgiven and return to live with Him someday. He is aware of each person's life, and wants us to be happy. We believe that we can develop a personal relationship with God through daily prayer, and this relationship will allow us to feel of His love continually. Show more Show less
