Hi I'm Holly

I am a wife, a mother, a college grad, a blogger, a lover of all things 'create/design from scratch', and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, to my fun-loving and hard-working husband; a mother of a precious son, whom we LOVE and can't believe is getting so big; a college graduate in the field of Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations (working as a stay-at-home mom... and loving every minute of it); a news junkie, which includes anything from current events to pop culture; a lover of all things 'create/design from scratch', mostly with graphic design (I love using these skills while blogging, or creating cards); and most importantly I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the South, a Georgia Peach to be exact, where religion is a big part of every day life. My family was/is strong in the Mormon faith, but there was so much opposition from my friends about what I supposedly believed in. From a very early age I have explained why I was/am a Mormon. I have never had an earth shattering experience that has solidified my decision to be a Mormon. But I have felt the quiet whisperings of the Spirit as I have read the Book of Mormon. I have felt the warmth in my heart as I have prayed to my Heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ, seeking answers and expressing gratitude. I have felt the burning in my bosom as I have prayed to know if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is Christ’s Gospel, restored on the earth today by His chosen servant, the Prophet Joseph Smith Jr.. I have experienced the happiness and joy as I have studied and lived the Savior's teachings. These same feelings occur as I listen to the Prophet of God speak, and hear the living Apostles testify of God and teach His Gospel. I am a Mormon because I feel it is true. I believe that every good thing is from God, and these feelings are good and help me to be my best self. I am a Mormon because I want the Holy Spirit, where these stirrings in my soul originate, to direct my every action, so I can one day live with my Father in Heaven again!

How I live my faith

I think it's safe to say I live my faith through music!! Currently I'm the choir director of my congregation, and having no prior experience of conducting groups in song, I lean heavily on the spirit of Christ that can come so poignantly through music. Whether I'm singing hymns of praise with the congregation, or the song 'I am a Child of God' to my son in quiet of our home, I know I can constantly share my testimony that God lives, and loves each and every one of us.
