Hi I'm Amber

I'm a wife. I'm a full-time mom to 5 kids and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up about 5 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip. I love my wonderful parents and 5 fun younger siblings. I went to college to become an x-ray tech and sonographer and later left the work field to raise my kids. I love my patient husband and 5 fabulous kids that keep me hopping. I'm fairly zealous about feeding my family nutritious food. I love my early morning walks with friends for exercise.

Why I am a Mormon

The missionaries taught me when i was nine. I loved the peaceful feeling they brought with them when they were in our home. After teaching me, they challenged me to pray and ask God if I should join the church by being baptized. I did. I remember feeling that it was right. Then again at my baptism, i had that same feeling of peace and joy that Heavenly Father loved me and was pleased with my decision to join the church. This has been the greatest decision I have ever made. It has brought innumerable blessings into my life.

How I live my faith

I'm striving each day to be better than i was the day before. I'm trying to become what God wants me to be- patient, loving, kind, gentle, slow to anger, not easily provoked, full of love, etc. I'm not perfect. I'm a work in progress. I recognize where I need to improve and do better and ask for my Heavenly Father's help to change. I'm striving to become a better wife and mother. I'm trying to show love and affection to my kids everyday. I'm trying to help my kids increase in faith, resist temptation, and live lives of goodness and service. Let me repeat- I'm not perfect. Somedays it's all i can do to get through the day without pulling my hair out. I'm not giving up though. I know with Heavenly Father's help I can do it! I can become what God wants me to be. As the secretary for the women's organization in our church i assist the sister who is the president and her two councilors as we strive to meet the needs of the sisters we are responsible for. We meet and council together to plan meaningful activities that will enrich thier lives and help them strengthen their home and family and increase in personal rightousness. I strive to get to know the sisters I am responsible to watch over and teach. I pray for them. I look for ways to serve them and their families.
