Hi I'm E. Hyrum Dyches

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and am happy to share that am.

About Me

I am currently in my sophomore year in college, and my major is Biology with an emphasis in Human Biology. I anticipate entering the Nursing Program here and specializing as a Nursing Anesthetist. I have a fascination in music, particularly a capella, vocal jazz, and standard jazz. I love to play sports such as soccer, ultimate frisbee, and racquetball!

Why I am a Mormon

The deeper we come to truth the more greater, lasting happiness we gain. Since my childhood until today, I can evaluate my life and see that the more I have involved myself in the doctrine of the faith the more I have embodied an unforgettable joy and understanding. I can feel daily the difference of the steps I take to strive to live my best through the teachings I have learned. It lifts me up, and motivates me to lift those around me up as well. There is less confusion, less depression and more purpose, more identity, and more peace.

How I live my faith

I have learned that the best way to live is by the understanding that faith is trusting in God with the things I cannot control and showing it by doing correctly the things that are in my control. Each week I have the honor of accompanying the congregation every church meeting on the piano or the organ, and on occasion, I prepare and perform a musical number to contribute a melodic complement to the program. I often visit my neighbors two doors down from me to see how they are doing and serve them!
