Hi I'm Michelle

I am a wife, and a mother of 4 children. Music is a passion in my life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am one of 8 children. It was very interesting growing up with so many people around but I was definitely never bored. Growing up I always thought that I would be a working mother but I have learned that being a mom is so important and I didn't want anyone to have my job. I have four beautiful children and they are so important to me. Being a mormon mother can sometimes put pressure on you but I have learned that being there and doing what's best for them is what matters. They won't remember if the table was always set but they will remember if you were there when they got home from school. I love the fact that I get to teach my kids right from wrong but I also love the fact that they can make a choices. Whether it is good or bad, they figure it out real soon and it helps them to grow. I am trying to raise productive members of society. Now that my youngest is in preschool I have returned to the classroom. I enjoy learning and I am glad that I have this opportunity to grow personally.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the mormon faith but that doesn't mean that I had a testimony when I was young. I had to learn and search and ask my Heavenly Father to help me know that the church is true. I continue to stay a memeber because I know that this is the true church and that my Heavenly Father is pleased with my life. That is not to say that I am perfect. We all have things that we have to work on but through the Spirit we can get help and overcome our weaknesses. This is such a great comfort and blessing to me. To know that I can learn, grow, repent and be forgiven gives me strength and purpose. I know that by following the counsel from our prophet, I am doing what my Father in Heaven would want me to be doing. By living the gospel principles my family and myself are blessed. I love the fact that I can be with my husband and children throughout eternity. Having this knowledge helps me to not sweat the small stuff. Knowing that in the eternal scheme of things that it won't matter if my child has matching socks makes is easier to be a mother. The gospel also helps me to become a better wife. Wanting to be better not only helps me but my spouse as well. We read and study together and find ways to implement gospel principles into our marriage. It has definitely made us a stronger, more loving couple. I want my kids to grow up knowing that their parents loved each other and the gospel helps us realize how eternally important that is.

How I live my faith

I love being able to go to church every week to listen and grow. Playing piano for the children is such a delight. To see them grow and learn through music is such a great thing. The simple music that the children learn, helps them to come to an understanding of the essential principles of this gospel. It is such a joy to watch my own children learn so much. Reading the scriptures as a family has helped us in so many ways. The childrens reading ability is greatly enhanced through reading the scriptures. It helps them in school and in their personal growth. Having children makes it even more important to me to try to follow my Savior's example. I want them to be able to want to be better and know that they can.
