Hi I'm Leslie

I grew up in Charlotte, NC. I am a music-lover, sports-lover, and a Mom to 4 sweet boys. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay-at-home Mom to four beautiful boys. My husband is pursuing his PhD in Business, so we are living the student life right now. We live in sunny South Carolina and are enjoying getting to know the Palmetto State. I am an avid Tarheel fan and love ACC basketball, mostly March Madness. I enjoy snowboarding, reading, seeing live music, playing the flute, blogging, and dancing around the house with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the LDS faith and have honestly had a testimony for as long as I can remember. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints brings a peace into my life that I cannot imagine being without. It provides my family with direction and comfort. I feel so blessed to be able to raise my four boys in a church that focuses on family and why we are on this Earth. I am a Mormon because I know it's the true Gospel, restored to the Earth through the Prophet Joseph Smith. I know this because I have prayed and felt the Spirit witness it to my soul. I continually have little reassurances, through the Spirit, that this is where I need to be. The LDS church answers all of my questions. I love being a member of the church!

How I live my faith

I have served in various ways in the LDS church. When I was a youth myself, I served as a class president and enjoyed that leadership role. I was able to serve my peers and reach out to those that were having difficulties. It strengthened my testimony at a young age and also taught me to look beyond myself. When I went to college, I served with the women in my congregation and that was a blessing as well. I was able to see more directly exactly how the women's group (Relief Society) was organized and how thought out everything was. It strengthened my faith in our Prophet and Apostles because I saw directly how much they love the women of this church. I have since served the youth and the little children. I am so grateful for the children's group (Primary) because of the foundation of faith it gives our little ones, starting when they are only 3 years old. The youth program is incredible, as well, and provides such a source of strength during a very vulnerable time in life. All of the experiences I have had while serving have been such a blessing to me and taught me more than I ever thought imaginable. I am grateful to have the opportunity to continually serve as a Visiting Teacher, where we are assigned to visit and lend a hand to women in our congregation. It is a blessing to serve and help others, and I have been helped by my fellow sisters in so many ways as well. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is miraculous!
