Hi I'm Michael Thompson

I love to draw, I love Marvel Comics, I'm a uncle, a brother, I love food and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have been a member pretty much all my life. I grew up in Colorado and I have been greatly blessed with a loving family. I find that there is so much to learn in this life and as we try our hardest to obtain this knowledge, we are eventually granted that which we seek. I have loved growing up in the gospel but much like any one else I to had to find out if what I had grown up knowing was true or not. I was able to attend a youth trip to a place called Nauvoo Illinois. There I gained a witness of what I had known all along. My testimony has carried me through many tough situations in my life and I could not be more grateful for what I know today. That is that the gospel has been restored in its fullness and that it was restored through a prophet named Joseph Smith. I have been richly blessed with a curious nature, I find myself taking gadgets and gizmos apart and through this I have learned that everything has a purpose. I also find art has a beauty to it, and amazingly enough I'm not to bad at it. I know that I can expand my talents and that I have yet to discover all that I can do. I was able to serve a full time mission in upstate New York in the Utica mission and I loved every minuet of it. I have been blessed to be married within the temple of the Lord and nothing has brought me more happiness. I'm a husband, a brother, a son of God and my earthly parents, I'm an uncle, and a lover of foods. Most of all I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

Well I grew up as a Mormon and as a child I grew up learning about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I came to learn through time about the gospel. Eventualy I had to come to know for myself if what was being taught to me was true. I came to study the scritptures both the Bible and the Book Of Mormon, as I studied I prayed to God to know if it was true. After a time I was given the answer to my prayers. I know that this gospel is true, I know that God is our loving Heavenly Father and he sent his son Jesus Christ to not only preform the greatest act of love for us but to die for us. I love this gospel and what I have learned from it and Im truly greatfull for it.

How I live my faith

I do all that I can to live this gospel the best ways I can really. I really enjoy the things it has taught me for example service to your fellow beings. I have a great joy of serving those I can help to the best of my ability. Something else I have come to enjoy is serving a Mission for the church. I served a Mission in Up-State New York, I enjoyed taking what I have learned about the church and sharing it with others. I do my best to be an example everyday by the way I act, by the things I do, and the things I say.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Michael Thompson
The members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints not only help other members of the church but our fellow man. We as members do acts of servise as they are presented to us. Many members have given help in times of need to everyone.  Show more Show less

Are there restrictions based on race or color concerning who can join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have the priesthood?

Michael Thompson
Nope. Members of the church call eachother borther and sister. We literally mean this when we say it. All are welcome no matter your race or color. You will be welcomed with love and a handshake. Show more Show less

What is being a Mormon like?

Michael Thompson
Well for me being a member of the church comes naturally. Being a memebr of the church is no different than being human. We all have wishes and desires, goals in life and many other things in comin. I have found that through personal scripture study and prayer I can be a uniqe individual even according to my beliefs. Show more Show less
