Hi I'm Zacchary

Life happens every day

About Me

Sometimes I sleep in and wish I hadn't; sometimes I see things that I wish I had. I read a lot and there's a lot I'd like to read. I like people. I have five neices and five nephews, three brothers and three sisters, a mom and a dad. I love them; they are my best friends. I play too much soccer, but it's never enough. I like fishing. I like eating sticky rice. I have come to know that the most important thing in life is love—to be other-centered, to reach out and care for others. Everyone needs a friend. Loving others makes life fulfilling.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because it makes me happy. Christ says in John 14:26 that the spirit will teach us all things. And in Galations 5:22-23 we are taught that the fruits of the spirit are love, joy, peace . . . When I test the Book of Mormon, reading it, thinking deeply and considering the principles I find there, I feel these fruits. When I keep God's commandments, found in the bible as well, I feel the same fruits. I am Mormon because of the fruits of the spirit: I'm happy, I feel love and joy and most of all peace—which I definitely need in a world not so peaceful.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by making choices that will increase my knowledge of my Heavenly Father, His son Jesus Christ, and their divine attributes and by seeking to know what they would want me to do—and then choosing to do it. Life, though, is filled with wrong choices and the associated consequences. I try to view life as Christ would want me to see it, to experience my successes and failures as He would want me to so do, and to feel for other people how He feels for them.
