Hi I'm Scott Gandolph

Father, Grandfather and Business owner. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born into a family of 8 kids. I've been married for 25 years, and have 6 children, two granddaughters and one grandson. I love sports, especially the NY Mets and Buffalo Bills. I love to work on projects with my family. I own and operate a small business. I love to spend time with my Family.

Why I am a Mormon

My Parents joined the Church when I was just a year and a half, so I was raised in the LDS Church. Though out my school years I was the only member of the church in my grade. When I was 17 and a senior in HS, I was studying the Book of Mormon that year in Seminary. Seminary is a program for High School students, each year you study a different book of Scripture. The Old Testament, New Testament, D&C and Book of Mormon. I had always believed in the Church mainly because of my parents. My mom's testimony of the Savior and His restored gospel made it easy to believe. But in my senior year my friend Chris and I read the Book of Mormon together. When we came to the end of the book, we read Moroni 10:3-5. A promise is given that we could ask Heavenly Father if the things which we read were true. We took that challenge and I received confirmation that it was true. My testimony which had depended on my parents for so long was now mine. Being a member of this church has brought so much joy into my life and the lives of my family. We read our scriptures every day as a family in hopes that our children can find out for themselves which path our Heavenly Father wants them to be on. The Book of Mormon does not take the place of the bible in our life. They both have so much information in them that help me to make better choices in my life and make my Heavenly Father proud of me.

How I live my faith

This is a working church, I have been asked over the years to serve in many areas of the Church. I had the privilege to serve as a Bishop for 5 years. Currently I serve as a Sunday School teacher for the Adults. I love to study the scriptures and to teach. At home as I mentioned before we read our scriptures as a family daily and every Monday night we gather as a family to have Family Home Evening or Family Night. I love when my kids give the lessons.
