Hi I'm David Chase Smith

I'm fascinated by politics. Running is one of my passions, I invest time into a little of everything and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was reared in a Mormon home with a loving Mother and Father in the Valley of Salt Lake City. My roots run deep inside of United States and I have a deep love for my country. Politics are one of my many fancies along with running and being out side. I love to see and conquer the wonderful creations that God has made for us. I'm a full believer that many of lives truths and happiness are found in our sorest trails and there is always a mountain to climb and a million more miles to walk. I have done but a few. I love to assist people in making the wrong right, strengthening the feeble knees and lifting the arms that hang down low.

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is my solid foundation in life. It allows me to conquer the evils of the world and rise above. I have always had a love for the Church of Jesus Christ. As I said before, I was raised in a Mormon home and have been a member my whole life. There was a time in my life when I was old enough to make my own decisions. It was there when I needed to find out if the church was true or not, if Joseph Smith really saw God the the father and the Eternal son Jesus Christ; I must say it didn't come easy. I had to read from the evidence (The Book of Mormon) to find out if it was true. Sure enough, as the Book of Mormon states: "Ask God the Eternal father in the name of Christ if its not true" I did just that. Sure enough my witness was gained by the power of the Holy Ghost. From that point on I have found my purpose to life and now know I am living it to my fullest potential.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is not easy. With the ways of the world and the convenience of sin it takes effort, concerted effort. But living the standards of Jesus Christ, as taught in the Bible and the Book of Mormon make it easier. Every day I try to lengthen my stride; by garnishing my thoughts and looking for good deeds I can do for the day. And at the end of the day I account with my Heavenly Father of my doings, wrong or right, repent of my mistakes and ask for assistance in the next coming day. I am fully active in my community and state, and that's the only way we are going to make it better, that's if we all chip in and do our part. I look for service opportunities within my circle of family, friends, church and community. I'm all about making this world a better place. That comes through one action at a time. I try to live as Jesus Christ did while he was here on this earth. Everyday I try to be like him, and that comes because I try to live my faith.
