Hi I'm Anthony

I'm a creative rocker, a skater and a Mormon on a mission.

About Me

I am an only child, (surprised?) I love my Rock n' Roll. Growing up I moved around a lot. I enjoy skateboarding, snowboarding, day hiking and just about anything that involves being active and being outside. I try to keep it as safe as possible though, well, sometimes. I'm going to be going to school shortly to become a massage therapist. I love sharing with people the awesome experiences that happen in life. Even though I have grown up around the church I still needed to gain my own testimony of this church. I did, I received an answer and have been following that guidance since. Doing so has brought me great blessings, sharing those and helping others receive these blessings are why I am serving a mission and will continue even after I return home.

Why I am a Mormon

There are many things that have led me to a testimony in this church. I was blessed enough to be born and raised into this church in a house hold that was very serious in the religious front. Being raised in such an environment made it easy to lean off of others testimonies, namely my Mother's. There came a point when I needed to find out for myself the truth of what I was living. I decided to follow the example of a modern prophet to find out if this church was truly the Lord's kingdom brought back to the earth. I didn't receive a booming voice or any voice at all, but the spirit spoke to my heart the feelings that these things are true. From that point on I began a journey of my life to find out and develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and My Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I'm currently serving a mission which covers the northern part of North Carolina and most of the state of Virginia. How does this show my faith? As a missionary we leave behind everything and make serving God our only priority and that is the only thing we focus on for two years. Serving a mission is and still continues to be a huge blessing. When you make spiritual things your only focus you see though a lot of other things maybe you didn't even see anything wrong with them but you get to see just how it affects you and others around you, and the spirit so I guess you could say the areas that seemed gray before become very black and white. There are also many other blessings that come with serving a mission but each of them are unique to each person. I live my faith by: Studying the scriptures as often as I get the opportunity, Living up to the promises I made when I was baptized, Praying as often as I can, Giving service where and when I can, And I would say most importantly by striving to be the best I can and changing and doing better when I come up short.

Who founded Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

The true founder of the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-Day Saints is. God. This church has been around since the beginning of Adam even though parts of it have been taken away and restored and taken away and restored it is the same gospel the same organization that was set up by God from the beginning. Most people think that it was started by Joseph Smith because he was the first prophet of the latest dispensation mean a period of time when a prophet is on the earth and the gospel is being preached. I think that is as simple as I could put it. Show more Show less

Who are the Mormons?

We are The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-Day Saints. This is who we really are. We are people with families, jobs, good days and bad days, joys and sorrows, a lot like you really. We believe in doing good even when it is not easy or convenient, we believe that Christ suffered for our sins not so we could just sit back and take it easy but he suffered so we can change our lives to line up with his commandments through work. we are not exactly sure how his suffering payed the price for our sins we only know that it did. We are similar in many ways but we are also very different as well. We claim the holy authority of God, along with that modern revelation, a living prophet and many opportunities to serve, because of modern revelation we have many of the old truths that have been distorted by man through out history such as God the Father, His Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost as three, separate, distinct individuals who are one in purpose with perfect unity. Every member of this church has gained their own experience and knowledge about the truthfullness of this gospel our invitation is for you to find out the same. Show more Show less
