Hi I'm Kevin

I'm a Missionary. I'm Serving in Phoenix. I Hate the Heat, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well, I was born in Utah, and then I guess I did most of my growing up in Arizona, but my Freshman year of High School, my family moved to Idaho. I found out that I love Idaho, the four seasons, everything is amazing! Especially how it does not get that hot. I am a huge adrenaline junkie, I do not know why but anything that gets my heart pounding I crave. I admit that at first when I look at somethings I get nervous, but the feeling after you have 'conquered' the challenge or whatever it may be is amazing! I am currently serving a two year mission in Phoenix Arizona, it is definitly the best thing that I could be doing right now. When I finish my mission I hope to become a Paramedic Firefighter, or something of the sort and that way I can keep the adrenaline pumping.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I know that this Church is true! How did I come to know that the Church is true? I read the Book of Mormon, pondering the message it contained in my heart, then asking God in the name of Jesus Christ if it is true. I know that this Church is true because of the Feelings that I have received as I prayed, from the miracles that I have witnessed. But, had I never seen the miracles I would still know that this is the Church of Jesus Christ simply because I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I guess it really all comes down to that. The Book of Mormon is known as the "Keystone of our Religion" meaning that if the Book of Mormon is true, everything else is as well. If it is false, everything is false. Just like it says in the Introduction to the Book of Mormon, I know that as you sincerely take the time to read from the Book of Mormon, ponder what you read applying it to your life and then pray to know the truthfulness that you will come to know of the divinity of the Book of Mormon. Really, what have you got to lose?

How I live my faith

I wake up every morning at 6.30, exercise for 30 minutes and then I get the opportunity to study the gospel for a hour on my own. Right after that I get to study with my Missionary companion for an additional hour and we learn together. The rest of the day is spent going around talking to others and inviting them to come unto Christ by helping them to accept the Restored Gospel. A lot of the time this entails going from door to door talking with people. I love it! I have been able to get to know so many people this way and it is always something new at every door. We have an hour for lunch and some additional studies and then an hour for dinner. We get home by 21.30 at the latest and plan out our next day! We go to bed by 22.30 to attempt to get enough sleep for the day ahead of us. This is my life for 2 years and I absolutely love it!
