Hi I'm Braden!

I'm a husband, a living historian, an actor, a scriptwriter, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name's Braden, and I am a WWII living historian, an actor, a scriptwriter, but most importantly, I'm a Mormon. I'm from Utah, And I served an honorable full-time mission in the great Garden State of New Jersey! I am currently going to college, studying theater, and working to get my feet on the ground. As far as as who I am, and what I do: I'm a husband, I got married for time and all eternity to the love of my life in 2015, and I couldn't be happier! I'm a WWII living historian, which means I'm dedicated to the preservation of the legacy of WWII veterans, and their service, and the education of our communities, often by dressing in period uniforms, so as to bring it a little closer to home, and off the pages of a history book. I'm an actor: I've been in a few films, and plenty of stage productions, and I've found that it's something I really enjoy, and that I'm at least moderately good at. I'm a scriptwriter, with a few scripts that have been produced, I really enjoy writing, and, I'm a Mormon. I love being a Mormon, and living life the way God wants me to!

Why I am a Mormon

So, as far as my conversion to the Gospel, I kind of took the backwards route. Most people read the Book of Mormon, pray, and ask God to see if it's true, and wham, the Spirit testifies, and they know it's true. Well, I took the long way around. I researched, and I dug, and pried, and found out all I could about the Book of Mormon, where it came from, the culture of that society, and all, and, then, after that, I still wasn't satisfied. I figured, "Why not? It works for all those other people, why not me?" So, I read the Book of Mormon, and then, found a quite place, knelt down, and prayed, and, like millions of other before me, I felt the confirming witness of the Holy Ghost. To be brief, (too late), I'm a Mormon, because it's God's church, and His work. He is the author of it.

How I live my faith

Boy, to live my faith, it's awesome. Being a disciple of Jesus Christ means that He, and His teachings are part of everyday life! When I am acting, it means staying true to who I am, and what God wants me to be. That means sometimes turning down a role, or a play, or what have you, to show really to myself, and to God, what was and is more important, namely Him.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

God has always called prophets. Every period of time on earth has required a prophet to recieve guidance, and direction from God. Adam did not recieve inspiration for Noah to build the ark. Nor did Noah recieve revelation for Moses to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt. Every period of time requires this continuing revelation. Show more Show less

What is being a Mormon like?

Heavens, it's the best! Living life to the fullest would be the best way to describe it! Because I keep the commandments, I'm left with so many more options! Because I choose not to take in drugs, or alcohol, even coffee, I'm able to pursue any number of outdoor activities, like hiking, biking, canoeing, you name it, and not be slowed down! Probably the best benefit though, is knowing who I am in relation to God, and what my purpose is in life, and where I want to go, and how to get there! Living the Mormon life, is living happily!
