Hi I'm Shari

I'm a mother of six, child care provider, novel reading, crafter. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have enjoyed the many road trips my wonderful husband has taken our family on over the past 29 years. Our children have enjoyed our beautiful countries sights first hand and have learned a lot about our national history, religious history and family history along the way. I love to read and digital scrapbook our family's memories. I enjoy decorating our home with transformed re-purposed items and other crafts. I have been fortunate through out my marriage to be a work at home mom. I am a licensed child care provider and have had the honor of helping many parents raise their children. I love to volunteer in my child's class and teach the nine and ten year olds at church. Being a wife and mother is a joy and an honor. Helping other people's children learn and grow is an added bonus.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born and raised in the church being an active member has always been a choice and I choose to be a Mormon that lives my religion to the best of my ability. I've had family members both in and out of the church. I have seen the positive effects the church can have in people's lives. Being a Mormon is more than just believing that Jesus Christ is my Savior. It is more than just acknowledging that I am a daughter of a Heavenly Father. Being a Mormon is a way of life. I love that my religion gives me guidance in all areas of my life. I love knowing that when I pray to my Father he hears and answers my prayers. I am a Mormon because being a Mormon I have learned, through the Gift of the Holy Ghost that I can return to my Heavenly Father some day. I am a Mormon because I know that my family is an eternal one and if we live righteously we will be together forever. I am a Mormon because it is what I believe, it is what I love.

How I live my faith

For most of my adult life I have served in a teaching capacity in the church . Currently I teach the nine and ten year old children in our Primary program (Sunday School). I love sharing the Gospel with these sweet, active, eager to learn children who often times teach me as well. I am now enjoying watching the children I have taught in the past grow up to go off to college, serve missions, get married in the temple and become parents. Raising my own six children (a process I am still in the middle of) has helped motivate me to live my faith the best I can. I try to teach my kids by example. I want them to know, by my actions as well as my words, that my testimony of Jesus Christ is one of my greatest treasures. A testimony isn't something I received one day and I was good to go. It is something I am constantly working on strengthening. Along with prayer and study the one thing that strengthens my testimony is when I share my beliefs with others. I have been able to do this with the many friends I have gained over the years in real life and on line. I'm pretty chatty. Everyone knows I'm a Mormon.
