Hi I'm Nate

I'm a painter, an actor. I'm a bookworm. I'm Mexican and most importantly I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love life. I love my family. They are everything to me. I am the oldest of three boys. So that's always fun. My mom gets spoiled being the only girl in the house. I love her so much, she has done so much for me. My dad too! I love to draw, I have been drawing since before I could even talk. And as I got older, I started to paint. Art does so much for me. It is how I am able to express myself. It is my way of creating things.I also love to act. Being able to create a character is just too much fun. I get to scream, yell, sing, and do things I normally would not do! I also love to read. Books open the mind and take you to new places. The series that started it all for me, was none other than Harry Potter. It really spoke to me as a youth. Harry's example of bravery and perseverance was inspiring. Another huge part of me is my culture. I was born in Queretaro, Mexico. I love my culture. There is so much to it. Art, music, color, architecture, and best of all...food! I love my tacos. I love music. Specially, Indy rock! But I love a lot of other types of music. I love politics and diplomacy. So I want to be an attorney or an ambassador when I'm older. I want to change the world! And I know I can do that with God's help. I did that by serving him in New Jersey for two years and I continue to do it in my current assignments at church. Again, I love my life, I love being a missionary, I love my faith and I love God.

Why I am a Mormon

When my parents were younger, they joined the church seperately and so I was born into the church. I have always seen that as such a great blessing from God. I would not like it any other way. I remember as a little boy, my mom would read to us the Book of Mormon. I would always sit and listen with awe at the stories. The stories and the examples of the prophets in the Book of Mormon. My mom repeatedly told me of the importance of the Book of Mormon. I lived part of my life in Nashville, the Bible belt. I remeber that religion was always a subject everywhere. I remember that my youth teachers at church would always tell us to pray and find out for ourselves if the Book of Mormon is true. I knew that I had to know for myself if all of this was true. There is so much that goes into being a Mormon and I knew I had to make a choice. And I did. I have read the Book of Mormon several times along with the Bible. For me it was opriory. It made too much sense in my mind for it to not be true. I have studied many doctrines in the Mormon faith and I know without a shadow of a doubt that it is true. I have seen God play a role in my life in various ways. I owe Him so much. I cannot wait to be in Heaven with Him and my family.

How I live my faith

I served a proselyting mission in New Jersey. It was one of the greatest experience of my life. I have also served in my community in Mexico and Nashville in Boy Scouts and other ways. Another way that I live my faith is by abstaining to sex, keeping the Word of Wisdon and following God's other commandments. I am currently serving in a variety of teaching duties at my local congregation.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Nate
We believe that the family is the central point of God's plan for happiness. He gave us families as similitude for His family. He wants us to be united with our families here in this world. But more importantly, beyond this life. We believe in more than "till death do you part." We know that through certain ordinances, we can be sealed or bound together with our families for Eternity. To me, it gives me hope and it has become a goal that I have to strive for throughout my life. Show more Show less
