Hi I'm Tricia

I'm your average wife and mom. I'm not perfect, I'm just trying to live a good life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a stay-at-home mom with two young children. I spend my days trying to keep my house clean and keep up with my kids. I love the arts - especially music and drama (I love to sing and act!) I like watching good movies and reading good books. My husband has gotten me addicted to listening to books on CD and I love to listen to the Harry Potter or Twilight series while I drive or work around the house. I'm not a cook, but I can follow a recipe. I'm a sucker for baked goods - especially cookies (yum!) and anything chocolate.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Mormon church, but that's not why I'm a Mormon. I'm a Mormon because I've found out for myself that it is truly God's church. I had my own typical bought of doubt and teenage rebellion. I wondered if the church I was raised in was the right one, or if perhaps the truth lied somewhere else. I've thought and studied and prayed about it. As I've done so I have felt the Holy Spirit tell me in my heart and my mind that the gospel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. I've seen and felt what its like to live the teachings of Jesus Christ and I know that I'm happier when I do. I know that God lives and that he loves us. I know that Jesus Christ is the son of God, our Savior and Redeemer. I know that he lives and that he died for our sins so that if we repent we will be forgiven and can return to live with our Father in Heaven once more.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to church every week. I pray and I read my scriptures. I teach my children about the gospel of Jesus Christ and encourage them to live it. I try to live it and do what is right but I'm not perfect. When I make mistakes, I repent and I try again. In my congregation, I'm in charge of the Sunday program for children up to 12 years old and I love it. We sing songs, play games, and talk about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Together we learn about the gospel and how to live it. Once a month I visit two other women in my congregation to share a gospel message and my testimony with them. We encourage one another and try to help share one another's burdens.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Tricia
Mormons don't worship Joseph Smith, we worship God. As a people we learn about the life and teachings of Joseph Smith because we believe he is a prophet of God like Abraham or Moses. Show more Show less
