Hi I'm Daniel

I am a college student, a hunter, a father, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My life is simple, but very busy as well. I work for my dad's plastering company as an apprentice plasterer and I am also attended community collage studying business management. My goal is to one day own my own outdoor sporting goods store. My Family and I love to hunt, fish, and go camping. I think is very important to have goals and to be diligent in working towards them. That is what the Lord would have us do. I am very thankful to the Lord for my life. I have had many struggles growing up, making some goals I had impossible. but with the Lord's help I have reached them.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? That is a question I have to ask myself often since there are so many options to choose from in this world. Being born and raised in the church, I have had many opportunities to learn about the principles and beliefs that the Mormon church has, but my favorite principle is that I have the great opportunity to test the things that I am taught by communicating with Heavenly Father through prayer. The Lord taught, "Ask and you will Receive, Seek and you shall find, Knock and it shall be opened unto you." I have been able to do that many times, and just as the scriptures teach, my answers have come through the inspiration of the Holy Ghost. With this knowledge, I know that this church is the one and only true church of Jesus Christ and that it is ran by Him through a living Prophet who has been called by Him. Through the things that I have been taught and the experiences I have had, I know that Jesus Christ is my brother and that he loves me very much and He will never do anything to lead me astray.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being actively engaged in a good cause. There are many opportunities to serve within the church. One of my favorite times was when I got to serve the Lord full-time as a missionary for the church. I spent two years in Indiana (USA) knocking on doors and talking to people on the streets, teaching them about the church and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I loved telling others about the happiness I find in the church. It is my family outside of my family. Now that I am home from my mission i try my best to still share my testimony with others. I try to be Christ-like the best I can. We can follow his example and develop Christ-like attributes, such as charity, obedience, diligence, humility, etc. When we are striving to be Christ-like, we can serve those around us. Serving others is a BIG way I like to live my faith. I guess the biggest thing I try to do to live my faith is to be an example of Christ to others.

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

When Jesus Christ was baptized while he was on the earth, he didn't go to just anybody to be baptized. He actually walked many miles to John the Baptist who had been prepared to baptize the savior and had received authority from God to do so. Baptism is a saving ordinance which allows us to return to live with Heavenly Father and He has set a certain structure for baptism to take place. Worthy Priesthood holders who hold the authority from Heavenly Father understand this structure. That is why authority is so important. When baptism is perform by this correct structure, it is fully accepted by our Heavenly Father. Show more Show less
