Hi I'm Dwan

I'm a husband and a father of 4 great children. I'm a business services broker. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in suburban Cleveland, Ohio with 8 siblings. I played sports through high school and was involved in many school and church activities. My parents taught me the meaning of service, work, love, and commitment. I was taught by my father to learn how to repair just about anything related to homes and autos. I love to work on Volkswagens and do car repairs for friends. It was a privilege to serve as a missionary in Argentina for two years, which is where my mother was raised. I graduated from college with an accounting degree and have worked in the commercial insurance industry since then. My four children are great! They have developed talents in music and other areas of interest and are growing quickly. I run marathons, hike, fix things around the house, read and work on cars. I love the challenges of life and enjoy adventures of learning new things.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in an LDS home with great parents. My father is a lifetime member of the church and my mother is a convert to the church from Argentina. Even though I was raised with the teachings of the Mormon church, I still needed to know for myself if the things I was taught to believe were really true. Through some experiences as a young teenager, I came to know for myself that the gospel of Jesus Christ in its fullness, as taught by the LDS church was true. I came to know this for myself through sincere prayer on my knees and through the application of the Atonement of Jesus Christ in my own life. The Holy Ghost testified to me of the truthfulness of the gospel, and I have enjoyed numerous blessings throughout my life ever since that heart-changing experience while in my youth. The gospel of Jesus Christ continues to be the foundation of values upon which I base my life decisions for myself and for my family. I am confident that if more families learn to live the gospel of Jesus Christ, that the world can be a better place. I still have much to learn and can always improve my commitment to living the Gospel, but I know I am on the right path with the gospel of scriptures, living prophets, prayer, and personal revelation.

How I live my faith

Serving others brings joy and satisfaction to my life. I know that as I do my best to follow Christ's example that lives will be touched and changed for the good. I have taught all age groups in church, from small children, to young adults, to adults. I truly enjoy the good feelings of trying to lift others around me and encourage faith and righteous living. Sharing the simple truths of the Gospel with others is a pleasure and privilege.
