Hi I'm Sarah Noel.

I'm a sister, a teacher, a student, and I can always reach the top shelf. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student studying to be a Spanish/ESL teacher. I love to teach and to learn, and feel there's always more that we can be doing to educate ourselves, and that includes so much more than just school. I love the mountains and being outside, especially in the winter on a snowboard. I have three brothers that keep my life interesting, but I wouldn't trade them for the world. Most of all, I like to laugh. Good and hard.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a Mormon, and I always felt it was good and right. But as I became a teenager, I realized that while I knew it was good, I didn't know why or what I personally believed. My whole life I had been told that if I asked in faith through prayer I would get answers. So I did. I prayed and asked God if all this that I was doing was right, and if it was true. The answer I got didn't come immediately, nor did it come loudly. I'm a very logical person, and as I prayed and pondered, I just kept getting the impression, "Well, of course it's true. It makes perfect sense. How could it NOT be true?" I realized that this was MY testimony. This is how Heavenly Father was speaking to ME. When that dawned upon me, my heart felt at peace and a sweet happiness came over me. I knew in that moment without a doubt that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live, and that they know and love me, despite all my imperfections. I knew that The Book of Mormon testified of Christ and was truly brought forth by the power of God through Joseph Smith. Nothing has brought me more happiness and peace than these truths and this gospel. I know it's all true because the Holy Ghost has told me so, and I could never doubt or turn away from it.

How I live my faith

As a single college student, I attend a congregation (called a ward) comprised completely of other single students. Since there are no paid clergymen in the Church, we all work together to get things running. I currently am charge of the women in the ward, and it is such a great experience. I have come to know and love these women individually, and am learning to see them more as God sees them, as His beautiful daughters. In this organization, we have the opportunity to visit specific women in the ward at least monthly to watch out for them and make sure that everyone is being taken care of. It has taught me so much about other people's struggles and stories, and helped me relate to other women so much better. I think the best way to live the faith is by example. I want people to be able to see me and my interactions with others and know that I am a follower of Christ. I love the Lord and want others to see that reflected in my life.
