Hi I'm Dee

I'm a Preachers daughter, Bankers wife, mother to 5 & a Mimi to 3 Diva of Dance & lover of Life and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am totally in love with my life! Some of my greatest blessings in life call me their wife, mom & mimi. I love being with my Husband 5 kids and 3 grandsons. My favorite day of the week is Sundays because they all come over and have Sunday dinner together, Play games and just enjoy being together. I also enjoy all kinds of Music and Dance They bring the harmony to my life. I have been singing and dancing since I was 3 I have performed in Musicals, Choirs and Major dance Troops. I spent some time performing as a USFL Cheerleader and as Miss Teenage AZ The other love of my life is working with the elderly. My first job as a teenager was working as a caregiver in a Nursing home. And I have always since then found myself working and caring for the Elderly. The last several years we moved to a small town in South Eastern AZ to be able to give full time care for my father with Alzhiemers and a 93 year old Aunt. So I Have truly been living the life of the sandwich generation caring for family members of all ages. I have always joked I am a middle aged woman, Living in the middle of no where, Going thru a mid life crisis of Love!!

Why I am a Mormon

I come from a great family, All who love the Lord and serve him faithfully. Several of my family members are (non-demontional) Pentacostal Ministres. My Father Was a Minister for 18 years, My Mother had began writing music and performing at the age of 10 traveling for many evangelist. Doing radio shows and television broadcasts. We loved our life and loved the Lord. We were living in Borger Texas running a church there and had come to AZ to hold some meetings. We were visiting in the home of some family friends from TX. During that visit my Father was in the Living Room of the families home while the rest of us were eating in the kitchen. He was studing the Bible and preparing for his sermon that night The Family we were staying with had a daughter that was just beginning to walk, she entered into the living room , She went over to a magazine rack and picked up a book and began to walk over to my Father with it. At that moment the words came into my fathers mind " Take the book from which she gives you for in it I shall teach you" The book had no cover and had been torn in several places, but as he began to read he was overwhelmed with emotion and had felt as if Christ himself was in the room teaching him. When the rest of us entered in the room seeing the emotion within him he asked our friends what this book was and where he had gotten it. He explained thet it was "The Book of Mormon" and a neighbor had given it to him but he had thrown it away and wasnt sure how it had gotten back in the house. My father then stated it was the most beautful book he had ever read. That was the first step of many experienes that lead our family to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints. Which has become the greatest gift in our lives. We are still loving and serving the same Christ that we have our entire lives, But now with a greater Knowledge of him and our reasons for why we are here, where we came from and where we are going after this life.

How I live my faith

Living my life in Faith comes from my small choices day by day. For several years each day started out very early every morning studying and learning the scriptures with high school aged students. Living my Faith by taking every oppourtunity that I have been given by the church and on my own to help others in need to know that they are truly a child of God , who loves them and knows them by name. Serving him by giving to his children , Working in the humanatarian and welfare services of the church. Working with the Young Women and helping them to set and acheive goals in thier life. Leading and organizing in the Relief Society Womans program, Helping each sister to learn and grow by organizing service and true relief for those in need. Living my faith by striving each day to become all that the lord wants and needs me to be, by taking each day step by step. Letting him lead me and guide me in the choices that I make. And hopefully along the way letting my light so shine that others will see my good works and glorify my Father which is in Heaven.
