Hi I'm Candice

About Me

i have a smile that goes for miles. I have a laugh thats contagious and well, im just the BEST MORMON EVER. haha! (for more information, when you read this, to find out more, read between the lines) have a FANTABULOUS DAY CUZ!

Why I am a Mormon

Ive been brought up in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have ALWAYS been so grateful to have the knowledge of who I am, where I came from, and where I'm going. This has been such a guide for my whole life. It's given me purpose and a keen sense of worth. In primary I learned I was a child of God, who loves me very much, He sent his Son to die for me. In Young Womens, I learned to stand as a witness of him, at all times, and in all things and in all places. I learned the principles and ordinances necessary to return to live with Him again. I had great friends who helped me make good choices. As a Young Single Adult I'm able to apply what ive learned in my life to help others receive the blessings theyre entitled to as children of God. My circle of friends continues to expand with the Gospel as our firm foundation. Growing up, I've had many challenging experiences. Knowing my purpose and how the atonement blesses my life daily, I'm able to push through all my trails one step at a time. I know the Book of Mormon is Another Testament of Jesus Christ and it IS the Word of God. Reading and applying it will change your life as it has mine. I also believe that the greatest lessons in life are felt not heard. There are a lot of unknowns and unexpecteds that happen in life and so, being able to apply what ive learned throughout life continually helps each and everyday. I exercise my faith every second of every minute of every hour of everyday in a loving kind Father in Heaven and know that even if I don't know, HE knows. And sometimes, most times, that has to be enough. I pray, Heavenly Father Answers, and i follow. This is why IM A MORMON.

How I live my faith

i live my faith by serving others as best i can. Being able to help them grow, helps me grow in spirit and character. Having that pure love of christ is a true blessing for not only myself, but for those i am surrounded by being selfless and loving. Having no impure thought about anyone in mind always striving to do my best for those i love whether or not i personally know them. Seeing the smiles of the people who i have been inspired to assist and help gives me the confirmation that i am truly serving the lord. I strive daily to also live my faith through scripture study and prayer by then applying what i have been given to my life and the lives of others. KNOWING and FEELING that my savior jesus christ and heavenly father LOVES ME, is the greatest comfort i could have especially in an everchanging uncertain world.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

This was one of my favorite things to tell people on my mission, that they can find out for themselves!! With what I have seen work for myself and for many other people who desire to know that Mormonism is true, is by asking God himself through prayer and through the Holy Ghost, you will be certain to receive an answer(Moroni 10:3-5). Most of the time Heavenly Father speaks to us through the feelings in our hearts. As you ask Him earnestly and sincerely, YOU WILL experience feelings of peace, hope, comfort, and happinesss! It truly works! I can testify that God wants you to know just as he wanted me to know. And these steps are ways that can help you KNOW! Show more Show less

Why do Mormons perform proxy baptisms in their temples?

We have a loving Father in Heaven, whose work and glory are to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man. He is our Father, and wants each and every one of us to return to him. Some of His children never had the opportunity to receive the blessings of the gospel and be baptized in their lifetime. Because our Father loves all of His children, each will have the opportunity to accept the gospel, even if it is taught to them after this life. We do baptisms in the temple by proxy so that those who did not have the opportunity in this life to be baptized into the church may receive this ordinance if they desire it. Show more Show less

Who is the Mormon prophet today?

God through out the ages has spoken to His children through living prophets. We have a prophet today, named Thomas S. Monson. He is a prophet just like Moses, Abraham or Noah. This is the Savior’s church and He leads this church just as he did anciently through a living prophet. As we follow President Monson’s teaching and example we will be blessed to draw nearer to the Savior. Show more Show less
