Hi I'm Janelle

I'm a Mormon. I am a nurse. I love to run and dance, but most of all I love being with my husband and family!

About Me

I love being married to my husband! We keep pretty busy with school, work, and other activities. I work full-time as a nurse, and he attends a university full-time. I love to run and dance when I get a chance. I also love to be outdoors, as long as it's warm :). I enjoy being active in Church, traveling, baking, laughing, and trying new things. My favorite thing is being with family and friends!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS family, but I am an active member by choice. I have come to know for myself the truthfulness of the Church's teachings. This knowledge has come through prayer, study, active participation, and confirmation by the Holy Ghost. I cannot imagine my life without the Gospel. The knowledge and testimony I have gained bring me true happiness, peace, and purpose. As I live what I know to be true, I have found so many blessings come in to my life. I am a Mormon because I know for myself the Church's teachings are true!

How I live my faith

I have the privilege of serving as the secretary in the children's organization. It keeps me busy, but I am learning SO much! The children are such great examples and are full of the Spirit. They teach me so much and I feel so blessed to be able to watch them learn and grow. I also serve as a Visiting Teacher. I meet with assigned women at least monthly to check up on them and visit with them. I love this opportunity to serve and develop friendships. It reminds me of my duty to look out for EVERYONE around me! My husband and I try hard to attend the LDS Temple near our home each week. By doing this, we strengthen our relationship and are reminded to have an eternal perspective. I love being a Mormon!

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

No! No! No! We believe that we are ALL children of our Heavenly Father, regardless of which faith we adhere to. This means we are all brothers and sisters. It is our duty, obligation, and sacred privilege to serve all others as much as our time and means allow. I have found that by serving others, I am often the one who is blessed more than those I served! Show more Show less
