Hi I'm Michelle

I love to read, eat, and play Wii....and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love to play sports and ran track and played basketball in High School. I continued to run track in college until a knee injury prevented me from continuing in competitive sports. Writing and reading are how I spend my time now. I have a goal to read every Newbery book and every work by C.S. Lewis, my favorite author. Photography is another hobby of mine. I will soon be finished with my education in Elementary Education with a Math emphasis. I have put my licensing on hold for a year and a half as I serve in the Montanna Billings Mission. I have three brothers and two sisters and one beautiful niece. I will miss them but look forward to bringing others together into their own eternal family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church, but I always say we are all converted at some point. For me it was the decision to know for myself and not just be a part of something because I had grown up in it. I started putting my heart into the gospel rather than just going through the motions. As I read the Book of Morman and prayed with a sincere heart, and real intent, willing to make the changes I needed if this was the Lord's Book and thus His Church, I truly recieved a quiet but powerful witness from the Holy Ghost that this is the true and full gospel of Christ. All those that read the Book of Morman and pray to know these things, with faith, real intent, and a sincere heart, WILL recieve an answer from God through the Holy Ghost. I bear testimony of this and plead for all reading this to have a desire to read the Book of Morman and ask of God for themselves if this Church and its Book of Morman are true, for I testify that they are the only way back to God in and after this life, and that it will profoundly affect every aspect of their lives for the better. In short, I invite all to "Come unto Christ."

How I live my faith

I am currently a full time representative of the Lord as His missionary. I am currently serving in the Billings Montana Mission. I have been set apart from the world to "invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the Restored gospel through Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, Repentance, Baptism, receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and Enduring to the End." I do this by finding and then teaching people with a desire to know more about Christ's Church that has been restored by his prophet Joseph Smith Jr. Great joy comes from the changes I see in people's lives as they accept this message and increase their Faith and desire to serve God in His appointed way.

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

Michelle
A general falling away from the truth occurred after the death of Christ’s Apostles. This is called the Apostasy (Amos 8:11-12; Acts 20:29-30; 2 Timothy 4:3). The Bible is the word of God with His gospel, but it is like a spinner with only one pin in the center; it can be spun an infinite amount of ways. This is why there are so many churches and so much confusion surrounding the Bible. God knew this would happen so he lovingly prepared the Book of Morman to come forth in the Last Days to be another "pin" at the top of the spinner, thus pointing us directly to Christ. Hand in hand they bring us to our Savior and bless our homes and families. Show more Show less
