Hi I'm Garn

I believe Jesus Christ wants my family to be together forever. I'm a son, brother, and a best friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a pretty simple man. I enjoy playing the piano and other musical instruments, singing, writing music, and simply being with my family and loved ones. Nothing means more to me than my family. I grew up with parents who taught me how to work, and also how to sacrifice for others' behalf. That has helped me throughout my youth and in college. I love working with my family members. I love playing board games with them, and just laughing with them. I have always loved family reunions, because of my family and because we can have a great time while still doing what we know is right. Throughout my life, I have had to stand up for what i believe in, which usually resulted in me being alone because I wouldn't do the things that others were choosing to do. In college I loved being around extended family members, and I loved meeting new people who shared the same values as I. I loved to participate in musical groups and to just go play games or to play tag or football when I was done with my homework. Growing up, I was home schooled, which helped me to be more self-disciplined, and which helped me to study well in college, and to hold to what I was taught and what I knew about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? I am a Mormon because I have read the Book of Mormon and I have prayed and asked God if it is true. I know with all my heart that it is. I know through the feelings of peace and comfort which come to my heart every time I read it and pray about it. This answer from God means through a living Prophet He has brought back His original Church, the same one that Christ established. Knowing this, that Jesus Christ's one true Church is again on the earth, has brought me so much more peace and comfort in my life, and so many answered questions. I don't know where I would be without this knowledge. I truly owe every blessing and everything in my life to my Heavenly Father and His restored gospel. I am a Mormon because I know that only through Christ can I be saved and be with my family forever, and that Jesus Christ gives all of His blessings only in and through His one true Church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

I have always loved to participate in the boy scouting program in my church, and also in my youth program. In those I learned about service and sacrifice, and about giving up my time and means in order to help another person or family. Also, I am currently serving as a missionary for the Church, and I love to get to teach people in their homes about the wonderful Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As a missionary, I dedicate 2 years of my life to leave my home serve My Heavenly Father and His Children. I love getting to talk to so many people about the blessings of knowing that Heavenly Father's true Church is once again on the earth, and that all may come unto Christ and be a part of His Kingdom here on earth. Something I love to do is to help people out by sharing the musical abilities God has given me with others. I have played piano and organ during our Church meetings, and during our church choir practice. I've also played and sung at special events on days other than Sundays. One other way I live my faith is by daily studying and pondering of the scriptures. I love to ponder and think deeply about why heavenly Father instructed His Prophets to include what they did in both the Bible and the Book of Mormon. Whenever I read the Book of Mormon, I ALWAYS feel peace, comfort, and safety from the evil in this troubled world. that has been such a blessing to me in my life, because I need extra help to feel unafraid of the things that trouble me. I love to pray daily and to feel Heavenly Father close to me, and to feel comfort that all will be okay if I follow and trust in Him and Jesus Christ.
