Hi I'm Marcia

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

HI I'm Marcia I've been married to my High School Sweet Heart almost 38 years. We were blessed to adopt three children and now have seven beautiful Grandchildren to extend our love to. I've been a Registered Nurse for 33 years and have worked in many areas of Nursing but currently I work with the Elderly population and love what I do! I love to garden and read and walk and be outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized when I was ten years old - my parents had just come back to activity in the church and so as a family we began to learn the Gospel. For me it felt familiar, and right...I accepted the teachings with childlike faith. Wonderful people who were my teachers and leaders at church helped me to learn the Gospel principles and taught me how to apply them in my life - many I wished to emulate. I wanted to be at church because it felt right, but it wasn't until I was a mother and various trials came into my life that I began to question and pray and seek a deeper meaning and understanding of the Gospel.Through scripture study and fasting and prayer I was blessed with the strengh to make it through some tough times and to feel the Holy Spirit as my guide and companion. Then I felt my testimony burn with the truthfulness that I indeed had a Heavenly Father that loves me and knows me and cares about me. The Gospel was a life line for me and continues to be.

How I live my faith

I try to live my life so that others seeing me will know that I believe in God the Eternal Father and in HIs Son Jesus Christ - I want to pattern my life after the Saviors. I love to serve in the church and over the years have served in many areas - currently I work with the Women and rubbing shoulders with my Sisters in the Gospel gives me strength and courage to go on no matter what is going on around us. Perhaps one of my favorite things to do is work with the homeless and hope to make this a priority in years to come...It's humbling and strengthens my faith. I read the scriptures almost every day and try to take time to ponder them and apply them to my life - what a gift they are to us from a loving Heavenly Father.
