Hi I'm Joshua

I'm a sports lover. I'm a piano player. I'm pretty random sometimes, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 21 years old and just spent two years living in Adelaide, Australia helping the people there. I really love helping others, and I also absolutely love sport... nearly any kind of sport. I especially love tennis and wake boarding, but also enjoy basketball, water and snow skiing, american football, track and field, table tennis, and well... I think you got the point. I love sport. I am also a very big reader. I love reading, especially the scriptures. I come from a family of four children total where they are my best friends. I love my family soooo incredibly much. I also am an avid piano player and love it despite my mother strongly encouraging me to take lessons for eight or so years, which at that time I did not want to do. I am very thankful now that she did though. I work wherever I can. I go to university and study something (I haven't decided what yet). That's me!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for this reason. Everyone from an Atheist to a Christian to whatever else always has feelings of guilt and shame that come from when we do something that is not right. I have had these feelings many times in my life. Every time I did something "wrong" the feelings always seemed to repeatedly come back time and time again. I had tried countless avenues to receive peace and happiness and escape from those feelings. I have found that although there are many things that brought me momentary happiness, the only thing that has brought me true peace and lasting, not temporary, happiness has been living the teaching of the Mormon Church which I now know to be Jesus Christ's church. I have felt the power, peace, and happiness that comes from it, and I know that there is not other source that these things can truly come from. Only Jesus Christ and his teachings. Everyone lives them to some degree, but the Mormon Church is where I have found all of His teachings, a fullness of truth one might say.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ. He is never wrong and never will be, so when he asks me to do something I just do it. He asks us to do things through our feelings, like when we just know or feel that something is right, or when we get that gut feeling that we just know that something is very wrong. I follow Him. Not only that, but I put a large focus on helping others... especially my family. I love them so very much. I live my faith by doing the very best I can with my lot in life even when my lot in life is not the best. We are not meant to be perfect, but we are meant to try our hardest to be the best we can be.
