Hi I'm Candace

I love dancing, singing, and riding my bike around cloverleaf texas as a spanish missonary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Mormon missionary serving in Houston Texas, spanish speaking. I currently share my beliefs with people I meet in Texas, but before the mission I loved ballroom dancing, hiking, yoga, reading a good book and spending time with my friends and family while not at work or in school.

Why I am a Mormon

As a mormon I was born into this faith, but the reason I am still here today has nothing to do with what others have told me. I am here because I know it is true. This is my story of why I know that this church is true. I was 12 when I decided to read the book of mormon and figure what it was all about. I finished a year later and soon after was given the challenge to read a verse of scripture and follow its directions. It was Moroni 103-5. Which is the invitation to read, ponder or think about, and pray to know if the book was true. I did pray about the book and even as a young teenager I felt something different. I felt the spirit. I knew in my mind that the book was the word of God and I had no doubts about it. I also felt in my heart the reality of what I was thinking. I know that the spirit testifies in both the heart and mind. I know that the Book of Mormon was given to us to testify of Christ and help us to be prepared for the second coming. It is here to bless my life and I am greatful for it in my life and the influence it has had on me. The Book of Mormon is a testimony that the trueth has been restored again to the earth and that this church is true. We have a living prophet on the earth today. He leads and guides us to rightousness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to support the members where I serve as a Missionary in Texas. I have the opportunity to help members on an individual level, serve, getting to know them and love them, and on a greater scale by helping out where needed on a congregational scale.
