Hi I'm Scott J.

I was born in Hawaii. I'm a father. I volunteer with our local youth swim club, play basketball and teach Seminary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When not working, I love to spend time with my family. I married my high school sweetheart and best friend and together we're the parents of 5 children. We're always busy 'doing'... but we're together. All our kids are swimmers, so we volunteer with our local swim club. We love cheering for our kids as they compete. We own 4 horses and love spending time at the barn and going riding. My personal hobby is playing basketball, and I bring my own little 'fan club' to all my games.

Why I am a Mormon

This past summer our family attended the Atlanta Temple Open House. We had such an incredible feeling standing in a Sealing Room, knowing that we can be together forever. I've never been happier than when I'm with my family and I can't imagine a heaven without them. That's only possible through being 'sealed' together as a family in the Temple, being obedient to the commandments and living the gospel of Jesus Christ. The teachings of Jesus Christ bring purpose, peace & joy into our lives.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving in my community and being an example of the teachings of Jesus Christ. As a family, we study & pray together, we attend church together and we love and support each other. During the school term, I teach Seminary. I also teach our Sunday School's Gospel Principles class each week. I try to be a good father and good friend.
