Hi I'm Collin

I love making people laugh and enjoy life. I save the world on a daily basis. And play saxophone. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My life is awesome. I'm currently serving as a Missionary for the church in the Texas Houston East Mission. It's the best thing I've ever done. My family is pretty much the best thing since the invention of chocolate. I enjoy a good book, a good movie, a good song. I'm pretty much game for anything that's good. To be a little more specific, I love listening to music and I'm trying to learn how to create it. I'm fascinated by technology and am trying to learn how to create that too. I'm pretty into comic books, Marvel and DC. I hope someday they'll just put their differences aside and become one Comic Book Universe. Maybe someday I'll be your local superhero. I live to help people smile more and forget that life gets hard sometimes.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it's honestly the only thing that's ever really brought any lasting happiness in my life. Following the things the church teaches and encourages has always helped me to be optimistic and satisfied with life. Seperating from these things has always brough frustration and sadness. The more I learn and follow, the more I love life and love the people around me. I am a Mormon because the joy found in this faith simply cannot be found anywhere else. Now, let's get a little deeper into this. Any kid can step up and proclaim that his lifestyle makes him "happy" and he's content with it. Frankly, millions of people have lived fathoms below their potential and missed what could have been their finest moments, because they refused to search for the better, or best way. So, how do we find the Ultimate Lifestyle, the best way? Alone, we can't. Alone, everything is opinion and point-of-view. We require a better source. God is that source. I know that the teachings and authority of this church are true, Godsent, and real, because God has revealed it to me. He is the ultimate source of truth, the only one with a knowledge of "things as they really are". He invited us to know "the truth of all things". Through prayer, analysis, and a few steps of faith, He has promised us He will help us to feel, to know, and to see. I have experimented on the things of this church and found them to be bright and virtuous. I have prayed to the Father and know, by the power of the Holy Ghost, that these things are true. And they make all the difference in the world.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to see people as Christ sees them. We're all children of God and we're all trying to get through life together. There's no place for hatred or prejudice in this life. Everyone needs to be loved and helped along their way back towards their Heavenly Father. Wherever there's any person feeling alone, hopeless, or depressed, that's where I need to be, because that's where Christ would be. Currently, I've been serving as a Missionary for about a year and a half, because I know that the message we share is the best way to heal and help everyone.
