Hi I'm Janell

I can be found studying in another field. Life begins again for me after teaching- no retirement. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am 60 and education is very important to me. I currently am going to school and studying pharmacy. This is even after getting a masters in education. Why? Because "the glory of God is intelligence" and we can take our knowledge to the next life. I also am writing a novel and have written other published works to edify and bring faith to others. Strength is in doing and sharing

Why I am a Mormon

The Plan of Salvation is important in my life. I know a complete plan with clarity of gospel principles is what brings me the greatest joy. That is what I have found in this church. My life in Georgia is somewhat different that what I lived growing up in Utah- people judge me by the life I live with even more watchful eyes. I try very hard to be diligent in Christ's gospel and that brings me incredible joy. I love Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I have learned to do a good deed every day and help both husband and other family members. My faith teaches me to be Christlike and I also look for opportunities to help others that may need my help or kind word, or smile. Sometimes that is the only way that our community will listen - because actions speak louder than words. I attend the Cornelia Ward. I take pictures for the ward bulletin. I have a lot of creative talent and it is fun to share with others!

Why don’t women hold the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? How do Mormon women lead in the Church?

It is good to know that we have different stewardships than male priesthood bearers. I am happy to be of service and know that God is watching me in my stewardship as a mother of four and grandmother of seven. Show more Show less
