Hi I'm Michael

I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm from Las Vegas Nevada. Right now I'm a missionary in the Eastern North Carolina. It's awesome. I love being here being able to talk with everyone here about Jesus Christ. There's lots of stuff I like to do, I love to listen to music and play guitar with friends. I was going to school at a little university in Idaho called BYU-Idaho. I loved it there because the classes were smaller. I have a way hard time staying awake in school sometimes so it was a good fit for me. I'm the youngest in my family and all my siblings are married. I'm lucky because I can always fall back on my family for support.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because God keeps his prromises and answers my prayers. The Church of Jesus Christ has been a huge part of my life. When I was eight years old I was baptised on Halloween Day 1998 and I've never regreted that decision. I honestly wanted to be baptised when I was young. The Book of Mormon is my favorite book of all time. As I've read it through out my life I have grown to know our Saviour, Jesus Christ. I didn't know it was the word of God until I did a few things. I read it and prayed to God asking him if it was true. I feel good about it everytime I do this. I have had alot of doubts in my life. It's not easy to beleive these things, but the spirit of God always comforts me when I go to the scriptures and pray for answers. The Book of Mormon holds everything in my testimony together. It connects my Faith in Jesus Christ as the Saviour to my belief that Joseph Smith and Thomas Monson are prophets of God. I owe all my happiness to Jesus Christ, and this is his church.

How I live my faith

I try to center my life around the atonement of Jesus Christ. The Atonement is the sacrifice that Jesus made so that we can be forgiven of our mistakes. I make alot of mistakes, so I'm striving to do better and work at my character to show God my appreciation for the Atonement. There's some things that are pretty straight forward. I've never tasted beer. Pretty much all of my life goals have to do with having a family and being a good father to my kids. What could be more important that I do in life? I really like to pray too. It's a great time think about what's going on in your life and realize who you are.
