Hi I'm Joann

I grew up on the Fort Hall Indian Reservation, I'm a mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, Herb shop owner and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in Gerogia for the past 40 years. I have 5 children, 28 grandchildren and 3 greatgrandchildren. I have been a stay at home mom while my children were growing up, but for the past 13 years my daughter and I have owned an Herb Shop. I love to read, garden and do some sewing when the mood hits me. My most prized possession is my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all my life. I have a deep abiding testimony of Jesus Christ. I know he is the literal son of God the Father. He came to earth to show us the way and establish his Church here on earth with apostles and prophets. He took upon himself my sins and paid the ultimate price for me when he died on the cross. He has now restored his gospel here upon the earth once again with apostles and prophets. I know the Chruch of Jesus Christ is the true church here upon the earth. It is Jesus Christ's Church. The prophet today is Thomas S. Monson. This means so much to me to know that we are guided and directed by a prophet who communicates with Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Daily prayer means so much to me. I know that our Father in Heaven hears my prayers and answers them, and I believe He knows me personally. That is such a comforting feeling to know that. Reading the scriputes gives me the boost and the spiritual guidance I need each day. Over the years I have had many callings in the Church such as teaching the youth and teaching teachers. I love serving and doing my part.
