Hi I'm Nathan

I'm a Friend, Creative, A person willing to TRY, A Son, A Missionary, I am a Mormon.

About Me

Hey, I'm Nathan. I am a person who is just trying to help others. When I was in 8th grade, I had an experience that changed who I was. One day there was a girl who was either sad, or always upset, I always would go out of my way to say "Hello" to her, and try to be nice, it seemed to always be shruged off, and ignored. At the end of the year I gave her my yearbook to sign. Afterwords she smiled for the first time, and walked away. I have never seen her ever from that day, however what she wrote in my yearbook changed me. She wrote that, I had made a difference in her life. From then on I accuired a new nick-name as a superhero, always there to the rescue. Going through Highschool I would try to think about how I could help those around, support those in need, I couldn't fly, but I sure would try if it was asked of me. I was told I lived up to the name. One day I decided that in all reality, I wasn't trying to be like my superhero, but I was trying to be more like Jesus Christ. I am willing to try anything new, I love finding out things that I am good at and aquiring talents that I didn't know I had. I love playing the piano, I love photography, I love being able to look at something or someone, and see the beauty that lies inside. I love to help anyone, in anyway I can. My motto in life is "REMEMBER TO SMILE." I know that there is so much that I can give back. That is just one reason I am out serving a mission right now, serving others. Bringing to them happiness!

Why I am a Mormon

Why I am a Mormon, Good question. I have grown up all my life a member of the church. So, I guess you might think that is a good reason. Not really the real reason though. When I was young I remember how hard my Mom would try to get everyone to church. My brothers were teenagers, and my dad worked nights. I remember always thinking how strong my Mom was just to go to church with Me her son, and herself, even if that was all that went she looked as it being of GREAT IMPORTANCE. Her strong faith always would reflect what I believed. After awhile though you yourself have to wonder if any of this is true. I wanted to find out for myself, and I did pray, and I kept feeling like my prayer wasn't answered in the way I wanted it to be, However, one day I noticed that A: I was very happy, I saw that this gosple was blessing my life, and my families life. B: No one could go though life facing fear and troubles, with out help. And C: THIS IS JESUS CHRIST CHURCH. I knew it to be true. Deep inside I would go through my mind wondering all the "if's" all the "well..." IT ALL made sense. No I don't know everything, I doubt I ever will, but I do know that this is who I am and who I strive to be. Because of this decicion, I am now out helping those who don't have this happiness in their life. I just want to TRY... Try to become better, and I know that by being a member of the chuch I have improved.

How I live my faith

Well, right now I am serving a full time mission 2 years dedicated to God's work. I love helping people and striving to be more Christlike. I try to set the best example not only for everyone around me, but for my nephews and nieces who look up to me. Before coming out on my mission I served in the a calling teaching the kids who were just about to be baptized. I love learning each day, reading the scriptures, praying, and following Christ's example. Knocking on doors is not easy, but it is definetly worth finding the people who are in need of happiness, and everything else that this church has brought to me in my life. Changing one person's life is such an amazing feeling. This gospel does help, and stregthens many.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Nathan
PRAY... God will not lie to you, and it is the only way you will find out. You also need to find out what and who we are, to understand what really is "Mormonism." You will KNOW in your heart. You will have feelings that are undescribable. I can only describe it as an inside HUG! Show more Show less

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Nathan
Well you are in luck, I am one. When we as missionaries go into peoples home to visit or just end up knocking on a persons door, we try to talk about the importance of the message that we have to share. We talk about how the church that Jesus Christ brought to the world, is again restored on the earth. We love to answer any other questions, and concerns that people might have about our religion. We will also follow up on the things that you might have had intrest in. We will always be willing to serve, and talk about who you are, and how we can help you. We as missionaries go out to invite people to come unto Christ, and help them recieve the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and his atonement, repentance, baptism, and recieving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and help them strive to endure to the end. How do I become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church)?

Nathan
If you want to become a member of this church it requires a change. It requires you to make and keep commitments and the commandments. You will need to be taught by missionaries (which are pretty cool). You will be able to learn and understand all that is required of you to be baptized. Once you have your own testimony, and are willing to have that change of heart, YOU WILL BE READY TO BE A MEMBER, You will be able to be baptized, and recieve the Holy Ghost. Once your a member all you have to do is strive to become more like Christ, and as well, ENDURE. Show more Show less

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Nathan
Well, I could never live with-out my family. The family is the building block to expirencing the world. As we grow in our families, or learn in our families, our love for them grows. Our families, is the one way that we can feel an amount of the LOVE that our Heavenly Father has for us. Show more Show less
