Hi I'm Patricia

I'm a Mormon. I've traveled a lot, and home is where I am.

About Me

I'm a mother of 3 and a grandmother of 9. I teach high school Social Studies. In my free time I participate in kung fu. I also enjoy reading, sewing, hiking, skiing, and other outdoor activities. But mostly, I enjoy spending time with my family. I talk with each of my children several times a week.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a teenager, a friend introduced me to the Church. After reading the Book of Mormon and taking the missionary discussions, I was baptized and I haven't looked back. I knew it was true then, and I know it's true now. The gospel has been a source of strength to me and my family through some pretty tough times. I stand with Peter, who when asked if he would leave the Savior said, "Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that thou art the Christ, the Son of the Living God." (John 6:68-69). I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because this is where I learn to become more like the Savior.

How I live my faith

I study the scriptures every day. I read from the conference issues in addition to my regular scripture study. I try to treat others as the Savior would. I ask for help and guidance in my work and in my church callings. I serve as a Sunday School teacher, and enjoy helping others understand the scriptures. I also serve at the temple. Going there helps me leave the world behind and focus on spiritual things.
