Hi I'm Kevin

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband to a wonderful wife and a father to four beautiful children. I work full-time supporting my family while attending school to obtain my MBA. In my spare time I enjoy spending every minute with my family camping, hiking, playing the Wii, or any other crazy activity the children can dream up.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints for about 11 years. My conversion story is pretty basic. My brother was introduced to the gospel by a childhood friend and joined the church. Knowing that I was a thick headed individual who would deny an invitation to attend church, he was smart enough to invite my wife instead. As the missionaries came over to teach my wife I would sit and listen. We were challenged to ponder the words and kneel and pray that we might have confirmation the words were true. The power of the spirit was undeniable as I knelt and prayed I was filled with a warm peaceful feeling. Over the years that peaceful feeling that is there when you need it most is why I continue to be a member of the Lords gospel. Life is challenging and I have known sorrow, worry, and despair but as I pray and ask for comfort the lord is there to steady my resolve. The joy that I feel as I serve the lord and as I watch my children live the gospel, is all the confirmation I need to know the lord lives.

How I live my faith

Over the years I have held many callings and served the lord to the best of my ability. I spent the past several years as a nursery teacher working with children 18 months to 3 years old. The joy of working with children is something that I can not describe. The unconditional love they show each other and there instructors is an inspiration. It makes me want to be a better person as I watch them live the example of Jesus Christ. Not because it is expected of them, but because in their innocence they have not been corrupted by the beliefs of the common man. I am currently assigned to teach young men ranging in age of 16-18. Although this age group can be difficult at times, as any parent of a teenagers is well aware, I enjoy seeing their growth as the learn to share the gospel. It is a rewarding experience to see them progress through the scouting program and prepare to serve the lord by committing to serve a mission. I have tried to be a reliable home teacher by visiting my assigned families regularly and sharing the gospel through lesson and example. The past few years I have had the honor of being there to support my families as they navigate through some of the most difficult times in their lives as well as celebrating with them in their triumphs.
