Do you want to chat with a missionary?

We are happy to answer any questions you may have.

Hi I'm Jenny!

I love my family, reading, blogging, gardening, the outdoors and laughing. I call Massachusetts home and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a 50-year-old wife and mom. I teach piano lessons in my home. I like photography and blogging. I'm a believer in date nights. Dating your spouse in your 50's is probably more important than the dating we did as young adults. I love to read, write, play with my kids, garden and I always have a stash of sweets on hand. Although I don't travel much, I do love to explore the world around me, and I also love visiting historical sites and spending time in the outdoors. A defining travel experience in my life was when I spent 18 months in Colombia as a missionary for the church. I'm hopeful that there will be more mission experiences in my future.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents found the Mormon church when I was a small child. I have been aware of the advantages that embracing the gospel of Jesus Christ has given me as I've transitioned through my teenage, young adult and adult years. Now that I am a parent raising children of my own, I am grateful for the stability that the gospel provides in a turbulent world. I feel secure in knowing that I have answers to or can find the answers to the questions that matter most in this life.

How I live my faith

Actively! I attend church services weekly. I get my high school-aged children off to their religion class each morning before school. I support scouting and youth group activities. Music is also an important aspect of my faith. I am an active board member of a community music program, helping to support and organize activities related to keeping students interested in and actively participating in music programs locally. I also teach piano lessons to students in my town. I oversee the local womens' organization (Relief Society) at church, providing opportunities to help women serve other women; meeting physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Living my faith is integral to how I live my life; it's an essential part of living my life completely.

What is being a Mormon like?

Jenny!
It's like having connections in every corner of the world. It's never being alone. It's never having a weekend with nothing to do. It's a automatic self-betterment plan. I wouldn't trade it for anything. Show more Show less

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Jenny!
Take your questions directly to God. Ask in faith, with a real desire to know if it is true, and He will answer. Not necessarily in the way you are used to being answered, but take the time to ponder and listen, and you will hear (and feel) the answer you seek. Show more Show less

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Jenny!
Absolutely not. Love your neighbor. That's one of the great commandments, and we have neighbors everywhere in our neighborhoods, communities, towns and the world who are not Mormon. Show more Show less
