Hi I'm Christina

I'm a wife and mom. I love sunsets at the beach and fresh peach pie in the summer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to the greatest man on the planet which makes it possible to be the mother of 4 enthusiastic kids. We have moved all over the place and learned that it doesn't matter where we live as long as we are together. I love to read, eat yummy food and clean (weird, right?).

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I choose to be. As a child I probably went to church because my family did. I have come a long way since then and had many experiences. These have led me to know that the gospel is true. Jesus is the Christ. He lived and died for us all. This knowledge along with other gospel truths help me on a daily basis. I am a better wife, mother and person because I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving those around me. This includes things like: *helping my kids with their homework *making dinner for the family *visiting with a widow who was married almost 75 years *helping a new mom trying to make it through the exhausting first week *taking care of my neighbor's dog for the weekend Jesus Christ led a life filled with service. As a member of His church I feel it is my responsibility to follow His example. I hope that as my children watch me serve, they will develop charity and become selfless individuals who better their own families and communities.

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

Christina
The Word of Wisdom was given to Joseph Smith through revelation. In it we are instructed to abstain from addictive substances. By avoiding these substances we will be free from the problems that addictions bring. The amazing thing about this revelation is that is was given at a time when little was known about the addictive properties of these substances. Today we know about the harmful affects of alcohol and tobacco and the benefits from abstinence. We are also told to eat healthy and exercise. Are all members perfect at keeping this law? No. However, if we are faithful in following the Word of Wisdom, we will be blessed with health, energy and knowledge. Show more Show less

Are Mormons Christians?

Christina
Absolutely. Jesus Christ is at the center of all of our beliefs. We belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My kids sing, "I'm trying to be like Jesus". Our prayers end, "In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen." Jesus Christ is our ultimate example of love and sacrifice. Show more Show less

Can husband and wife be together forever? Do you believe that families will live together in heaven?

Christina
Marriages can be eternal. This is one aspect of the gospel that gives me so much peace. If couples are faithful to each other and the promises that they make to one another and to God, they can be reunited after death. Families are forever. A song I sang as a child says, "Families can be together forever through Heavenly Father's plan. I always want to be with my own family and the Lord has shown me how I can." I love my family and am so happy that I can be with them in this life and the next. Show more Show less
