Hi I'm Johnny

I like to watch boxing, play sports, lift weights, spend time with my friends, I'm a missionary, and a mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Southern California. My parents are from the Philippines.I have a really nice family who love me and I love me and I love them. I am the youngest of 1 brother and 4 sisters. I grew up in the city and have been experiencing country out here on my mission. I like it and I have adjusted to it pretty well. I like to play sports like boxing, basket ball, football, volley ball, I didn't for school our anything but I like to play for fun. I also like to watch movies, play video games, lift weights, and spend time with my friends on my spare time. After high school, I went to a community college for a year 1/2 before going on my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. So I lived through the teachings all my life. I was surrounded by other members who had that great faith. But even though I grew up in the church, I still had come to know that the church was true by praying and living the things that I have learned. I also have read the Book of Mormon and felt the great joy. I felt the spirit confirm to me that the church is true. There hasn't been I had a d aught in my mind. I have felt the spirit strong in me that this is the only true church. I know that this isn't another denomination but it is literally God's true church that has been lost and been restored through our prophet Joseph Smith.

How I live my faith

I have lived my faith a lot. Right now I am serving a mission in the North Carolina Raleigh Mission. I am doing this to help people to build their faith by inviting them to hear our message that we have to say. I know that this is helping me to build my faith. This experience of serving a mission has helped me learn a lot and grow as well. I am so glad I have made this choice on going on a mission. It has taught me a lot and helped me strengthen my testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Jesus Christ's atonement is when died on the cross. Jesus Christ died on the cross to take away the sins of the world. He died for all of our sins. Because of that, we all can repent and be forgiven of our sins. Only through his grace and mercy is how we can return and live with him again. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about "eternal life?"

After we are baptized, we will still be making mistakes in life. We are not perfect we were not put here when we are perfect. But because of the atonement, we can repent and ask God for forgiveness in prayer. We confess of all our wrong doings. Then when we are forgiven, We will always learn from our mistakes. We will want to stop doing bad things and start doing things that are good. This is also why we go to church every Sunday. When we partake of the sacrament, we remember Jesus Christ when he died on the Cross. As we do this, we are renewing the same covenants that we made when we were baptized. It is like being baptized again each week.   Show more Show less
