Hi I'm Audrey

I'm your average young adult who loves superheros, nail polish and with the Savior's help is finding my place in this BIG world.

About Me

Recently graduated from BYU, I'm delving head first into the unknown. Literally. I don't know what's going to happen with my life, but I'm excited and doing all that I can to make the most of it. I love to play the piano, paint my nails, watch movies, hang out with friends, and watch basketball and football. I enjoy the simple things in life, like eating apples and peanut butter, star gazing, going for walks, and watching morning cartoons. I love running and exercising and trying to keep my body healthy. It gives me a confidence I wouldn't otherwise have. I have a love for vintage things and for the Golden days of Hollywood: Frank Sinatra, Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire, Judy Garland, etc. I enjoy reading all types of books, and would rather get lost in the world of a book than go out in the real world. I think good literature can open the mind like nothing else can. I am a blog ADDICT. I started one a couple of years ago, and it's been a good outlet for me. I cannot wait for the day that I will be a mother to some precious children of our Heavenly Father. I know that being a mother will be the most important task I will be given. I want to make a difference in this world. Even if it's just to one person, I want to help anyone within my reach. No matter what it takes.

Why I am a Mormon

Well, I was fortunate enough to be born into the church, but that doesn't mean it hasn't been hard at times. Living around Mormons can almost be harder. But I guess you could say that I'm a mormon because I want to. I love it. I love everything about it. It makes me happy. And that's why we are here on earth. To find happiness. I know that I am a Daughter of God. I have felt His love for me. And I love Him. And I don't want to do anything to displease him. I know that Joseph Smith saw God the Father and Jesus Christ. I know that he was a prophet. And, as Elder Holland once said, I want it made VERY clear, that I know the Book of Mormon is true. That it is the word of God. I know that. Without a doubt. I know that Christ suffered for me personally. For me. Audrey. He has been there for me when no one else has. I know He loves me. And that's all I need to go through with the trials of this life.

How I live my faith

I try to do the simple things. Treating others as Christ would treat them. To me service is a major part of the gospel, and I want to do that to the fullest. When I help someone, even in the smallest way, I can feel their love, Christ's love, and my love for everyone else so much stronger. I also work to make sure my attitude is ALWAYS positive, and centered towards the gospel. I believe that if you can do that, life will be infinitely better. I give all I can in my calling in the church as well as making sure to do my visiting teaching. I love going to church. Just so I can feel the spirit.   Continuing to build my testimony is a constant way that I live the gospel. Reinforcing the standards that I live, praying to my Heavenly Father, and consistently trying to better myself helps me to not only strengthen my testimony, but to live my faith on a daily basis. My faith makes me happy. I believe happiness is a purely personal choice. And I've chosen to be happy, no matter what hard thing come to me in my life. The gospel is a great part of that happiness for me. It brings me happiness when I'm at my lowest points, or when I just need to remember how blessed I am. It gives me hope for the past, present, and future. It's helped me realize that no one else can make me happy but myself. I've made that decision and that's why I live a happy and fulfilling life. It's not easy, but it sure makes things better in the end.
