Hi I'm Amber

I taught kindergarten and first grade. I am wife and a new mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a new mother of a beautiful daughter. Before my little girl came into my life, I taught kindergarten and first grade. I loved teaching, but I love my current job even more. Being a full time mother is the greatest blessing in my life. I also love to play the piano, cook, read, play games, swim, sew and spend time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the knowledge and peace the gospel brings into my life. Through the scriptures I know who I am, where I came from and where I am going. I am a daughter of God. I love Him and He loves me. I lived with Him in heaven before I came to this earth and I can return to live with Him and my family for all eternity. With this knowledge I can walk though this life with the peace and reassurance that everything will always be all right in the end.

How I live my faith

A highlight of my week is attending my Sunday meetings. I enjoy taking the sacrament and listening to members of the congregation share messages about the gospel. After the meeting, I play the piano for the kids in Primary where we learn about the gospel and sing songs of praise. Those children are so sweet and innocent. Every time I play for the children and listen to them sing, I always feel the spirit testify of God's love for us.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Amber
The simple answer to this question is no. Many Mormons have a true understanding what this life is all about and they see everyone as they truly are. We are all daughters and sons of God and we need to treat everyone they way God would want us to treat his children. Mormons will extend a helping hand beyond their own congregation and out into the community and across the world.  Show more Show less
