Hi I'm Gina

I'm an exercise-aholic, an ice cream junkie and most importantly a Mormon!

About Me

I was blessed to be born and raised in Southern California. My family is and always will be one of the most important things to me! I love them so so much. :) They show me constant love, support and have faith in me that I will be successful in anything I do. I grew up doing gymnastics and was able to coach kids in it after high school. I consider both practicing and coaching gymnastics to be some of my greatest passions in life. Each of them taught me lessons in patience and endurance that I've been able to apply throughout my life. Currently I'm a student in Utah. I love learning new things and am always trying to study and progress in knowledge of any subject. I thrive on being challenged and the feeling of triumph I gain when I know I've been successful.

Why I am a Mormon

The factor that played the most important role in my conversion to the gospel, is that I prayed to know if the church was true. At this time I was 18 years old and felt that I was at a cross roads in my life for many major decisions. That night I had spent a lot of time reading my scriptures and pondering what I should do and who I was striving to become. I had come across a scripture in 2nd Nephi 4:35 that said "Yea, I know that God will give liberally to him that asketh. Yea, my God will give me, if I ask not amiss;.." In that moment I knelt with sincerity, wanting to know if the church was true and it was confirmed to me by the Holy Ghost. This witness was so powerful that I could not deny was was being communicated to me. I follow the gospel of Jesus Christ because of the guidance, comfort and joy it brings me. I haven't experienced these feelings in as great of a capacity in any other area of my life. :)

How I live my faith

My faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ is the most important thing in my life. Everyday I strive to live in a way that makes my Heavenly Father happy. I do my best to follow all of His commandments including praying, reading the scriptures and serving others. Each morning I pray to recognize the Lord's hand in my life and be guided to ways that I can serve others. I believe that service brings blessings and joy to others that we aren't able to find anywhere else. In John 13:24 Christ tells us "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you.." As I serve others with unconditional love, I know that I am living as Christ wants me to. Through these actions I can let others know that they are never alone and that their Heavenly Father never intends to leave them alone. That He loves and cares for them and will always bless them with someone to show them that.
