Hi I'm Dave

I'm a Mormon. I love to talk to people about my faith.

About Me

I'm a lifelong member of the Mormon Church. I really became converted myself while serving as a Missionary in New York City and surrounding areas in the early 1970's. I married the love of my life in 1976 in the Mormon Salt Lake City Temple. 34 years later, we have 4 daughters, 2 sons, 9 Grand Sons, and 6 Grand Daughters, a Dog and a Cat. With a big family, we have never had a lot of money and I have usually worked 2-3 jobs, but we got by. Now that my wife and I are empty nesters, we couldn't be prouder of our wonderful "Eternal Family" and the choices we made to sacrifice for our family along the way. Most of our family comes over for Sunday Dinner each week. I have served in many callings in our Church and am currently a Counselor in our Bishopric. I'm currently working as a Collector/Advisor in a large bank call center. I enjoy golfing, tennis, bowling, camping and most of all walking and hiking. Our whole family are avid football fans of our local University football team. Go Broncos!

Why I am a Mormon

I was brought up in the Mormon Church but have been exposed to many other religions. I continue to be an active member of this church because it answers all of lifes important questions. I believe that a young man named Joseph Smith was called as a Prophet and was able to restore Christs original church back to Earth with the Priesthood Authority to administer the sacred ordinances of the Gospel. I believe we still have a living Prophet on the earth today (181 yrs after Joseph Smith formally organized the Church), and his name is Thomas S Monson. I believe that I am sealed Eternally to my wife and family and not just "till death do you part". I believe the true restored Gospel Plan is truly the "Plan of Happiness". It gives me a road map to follow back to my Heavenly Father someday. I have a purpose here on earth!

How I live my faith

I volunteer many hours a week in my church service. Service, I believe, is what life is all about. I don't know anyone in the Church who is perfect, but most of us are striving to be true Disciples of Christ. I think the Home Teaching and Visiting Teaching programs of the Church are fantastic, and are unequalled in the world.
